1 • "500ml milk (Half a liter)

3 • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
4 • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder or a piece of a cinnamon bark

2 • In a clean pan, add the milk and the water and place on fire and leave to cook until it starts bubbling. Add the tea leaves and cinnamon and stir
3 • When the tea seems to be about to boil over, add the ginger and stir. Remove from the heat or reduce the amount of heat and leave to stand for 5 minutes so as to allow the ginger and tea leaves to properly infuse with the tea.
4 • Return to the fire or increase the heat and allow to boil. Strain and serve immediately with desired accompaniment.
5 • You can regulate the milk to water ratio according to your taste. I love my milk rich and may have more milk than water while other people like their milk thinner than most. However for a good cup of African tea, the minimum should be 1 cup of milk to 2 cups of water."
